Detective Keith Boryseskne and Officer Jerome Pleasants will be recognized Tuesday for saving an unconscious man and mother from two-alarm fire in March.

The West Orange Township Council Tuesday will recognize a township detective and police officer for saving an unconscious man and his mother from a two-alarm fire in March, officials announced.
Council members will honor Det. Keith Boryseskne and Officer Jerome Pleasants during the conference agenda meeting at 6:30 p.m. in town hall for entering an apartment at 1480 Pleasant Valley Way on March 2 at 1:50 p.m. under heavy smoke conditions and rescuing the pair.
The duo removed 72-year-old Elaine Sugerman from the smoke-filled apartment and then went back to save her 50-year-old unconscious son who was still in the kitchen of the apartment, police said.
