West Orange Doctor Makes ‘Goodbye Video’ For Kids: Report
A doctor from West Orange made a farewell video for her kids after contracting the coronavirus. Thankfully, she's recovering, a report says.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — She got down on her knees, prayed, and begged for the gift of more time to say goodbye to her two kids. But thankfully, Julie John, an intensive care unit doctor from West Orange, now seems like she’s on the road to recovery, reports say.
Earlier this week, John, 38, spoke with CNN about her harrowing experience with the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19, telling a reporter that at one point, she ended up making a farewell video for her children just in case she didn’t survive the disease.
“I wanted to tell my kids that they are the most important thing in the world to me,” John told CNN. “Mommy was a doctor. But I never stopped caring about them and, you know, things like, treat the world good… it's been great to us. I love you and I want to be there, but I can't.”

They would have gotten the video in five years if John passed away, she said.
John is reportedly showing signs of recovery, but still faces seven to 14 days before she can have contact with her children again. Watch the interview here.
