West Orange High School Student Earns Pilot License
A student in West Orange has officially earned the right to fly an airplane before graduating high school.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A student in West Orange has officially earned the right to fly an airplane before graduating high school.
Antoine Chapman, a junior at West Orange High School, recently aced the U.S. Air Force's Private Pilot Scholarship Program.
The prestigious worldwide award, which is given to only 150 Air Force Junior ROTC cadets each year, offers recipients the chance to earn a private pilot’s license. There is no military commitment associated with the scholarship.

On Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr. paid homage to Chapman’s inspiring effort with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition.
Payne supported Chapman’s dreams of attending the Air Force Academy, writing that he thinks the teen has the potential to be a “great airman.”
