West Orange Ranked in the Top 10 Places to Live in New Jersey
The popular real estate blog Movoto voted West Orange in the top 10 due to high median income and amenities per capita.

Movoto.com, a real estate blog that reports on stellar towns throughout the state, has named West Orange the 8th best place to live in the state of New Jersey.
West Orange earned its rank because its median income is 13 percent above the state average and boasts a high number of amenities per capita with tons of bagel shops, diners and parks. The site also credited the city’s natural beauty for its standing.
The popular blog utilized several criteria to determine to the top ten. These include ameneties per person and per town. Movoto.com chose to count the number of pizza places, bagel shops, and diners - the three types of amenities that in the blog’s opinion, represent New Jersey.

Other measurements include cost of living, crime, the population’s average education level, median income, and whether or not the home value was above or below state average. The blog ranked a total of 50 cities across the state.
