West Orange Relaxes Parking Rules For Spring Holiday Season

West Orange will be temporarily relaxing its parking rules during Passover, Easter and Ramadan, officials said.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange will be temporarily relaxing its parking rules during the upcoming spring holiday season, authorities said Thursday.

The West Orange Police Department made the following announcement on social media:

“In honor of the upcoming holidays, the township will be rescinding the township parking ordinances from 6 p.m. on March 26 until 6 a.m. on May 13. This includes overnight parking and alternate side parking. Street Cleaning Rules will still be in effect (due to an effort to maintain sanitary conditions throughout the township, street cleaners will still be out cleaning our roads.) State parking statutes, such as Too Close To Corner, Too Close To Intersection/Stop Sign or Blocking Driveways, will still remain in effect. We wish all of our community partners healthy and safe holidays, no matter which you celebrate! (Passover, Easter, Ramadan, Songkran, Rama Navami).”
