West Orange School Board Reorganizes; Melinda Huerta Sworn In
West Orange's newest school board member was officially sworn in for her term. The board voted for a new president and vice president.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange’s newest school board member was officially sworn in for her term at the group’s annual reorganization meeting on Thursday.
Melinda Huerta, who defeated Ken Alper in the November election, was sworn in as the newest member of the West Orange Board of Education. READ MORE: Here's Who Won Council, BOE Seats In West Orange Election
Huerta thanked the community for their support in both English and Spanish.

At the meeting, the board also voted for Terry Trigg-Scales as president and Jennifer Tunnicliffe as vice president. See the full list of agenda items and designation of positions here.
