Annual Hillsdale Kids' Fishing Contest Is Saturday

HILLSDALE, NJ — The annual Kids' Fishing Contest is Saturday at Pascack Brook.

There is no advanced registration or fee. In order to be eligible for prizes, caught fish must be measured at the police booth during the contest.

The event will be held rain or shine. The brook is located between St. John's R.C. Church and Brookside Place.

Anyone who wants to help stock the brook with fish should come with an adult to the church parking lot at 7 a.m. or the ball field by Brookside Place in Westwood. Participants should bring buckets.

The Hillsdale Fire Department will host a free pancake breakfast on the second floor of the firehouse from 6 until 11 a.m.

The Westwood Elks Lodge will serve hamburgers and hot dogs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
