Brisket On A Doughnut Is Working For Westwood's Kimchi Smoke

Brisket, chipotle sauce, bacon, cheddar, smoked kimchi and scallions on a glazed doughnut 'shouldn't work,' but it does, owner Rob Cho.

WESTWOOD, NJ — Kimchi Smoke's creation of a Chonut is one of the hottest new foods to hit Bergen County in a while.

Owner and chef Rob Cho takes pepper-smoke brisket, chipotle bourbon, bacon, cheddar cheese, smoked kimachi and scallions and put them in between two halves of a glazed doughnut.

"People look at the pictures and say it can't work," owner and chef Rob Cho told New Jersey Monthly magazine. "But when they taste it, they’re amazed at how well it blends and balances. We do call it life-changing."
