Charity done right by the Pittsburgh Pirates

"Fields for Kids" program led by the Pittsburgh Pirates' charity organization helps with grants from $1000 and up!

The Pittsburgh Pirates pro team are doing some amazing things. Pirates Charities have given grants to over 38 youth baseball and softball programs and every year it's getting bigger.

The program is called “Fields for Kids” and it's led by the Pirates who has a charity department. With that they issue matching grants from $1,000 and up. This money is to be used for improving baseball fields and facilities.

Since the 'Fields for Kids' began, the Pirates have given out 364 grants in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, plus an additional 45 grants have gone to programs near the team’s spring training location in Bradenton, Florida.

This is what it's all about when growing youth baseball in America. Gotta love it.
