Edgewood Country Club “A Night of Mystery with Hungarian Cuisine”

River Vale, NJ (October 17, 2019) – Edgewood Country Club recently hosted a special evening for more than 220 Edgewood Country Club members and their guests. “A Night of Mystery with Hungarian Cuisine,” which was held on September 27th, featured an authentic, “home-cooked” Hungarian dinner prepared by Club General Manager Daniel Somogyi and his mother-in-law Agnes Hussar, as well as exciting live entertainment.

The menu featured nearly 20 courses and included such traditional favorites as cucumber salad, cold sour cherry soup, Lesco (Hungarian ratatouille with Hungarian sausage), cabbage Szekely style, braised beef with Hungarian red wine and mushroom sauce, and an elaborate dessert station. America’s Got Talent Semi Finalist Scott Alexander, Illusionist Elliott Zimet and Mentalist Alan Chamo entertained guests throughout the evening.

“Hungarian Night at Edgewood was a spectacular blend of exquisite cuisine and delightful entertainment. The food cooked by our manager, Daniel Somogyl, and his mother-in-law Agnes Hussar, not only was delicious but introduced club members to a culinary education; and the mystical entertainment mesmerized the audience. It was a night Edgewood should be proud of,” noted Edgewood Member Arlene Ginsberg.

“This was a wonderful opportunity to share my background and the wonderful cuisine of my homeland with our ‘Edgewood family,” noted Somogyi.
