Edgewood County Club Holds Play for P.I.N.K. Fundraiser
Annual Fundraiser is Responsible for More Than $1 Million in Proceeds to Fund Breast Cancer Research, Treatment and Survivorship

Edgewood Country Club recently hosted its annual Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge) fundraiser on August 8, 2019, in which 160 women and men – Edgewood Country Club members and their guests – played a round of golf, tennis and held a luncheon to raise money toward advances in breast cancer detection, treatment and survivorship.
This year’s fundraiser, which included raffle prizes, donations and a silent auction, marks the 22nd year that Edgewood Country Club has run this special event. In fact, the club has raised more than $1 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in that time. Of particular interest was an inspirational luncheon speaker, Christine Flatt, a current breast cancer fighter, a mother and wife of Edgewood County Club Golf Professional Tom Flatt, who bravely discussed her personal journey.
According to Paulette Strauss, Managing Director, Membership & Marketing, for Edgewood Country Club, “Our incredible Edgewood community has consistently demonstrated tremendous financial and emotional support for this very important cause for more than two decades. I am so proud of the turnout again this year at this wonderful event and we raised important funds in the process.”
