Hillsdale Avenue To Close For A Week For Railroad Crossing Work

The major roadway will be closed and detoured in both directions so a new railroad crossing can be installed.

HILLSDALE, NJ — Part of Hillsdale Avenue will be closed for a week beginning Wednesday so a new railroad crossing can be installed.

From 7 a.m. Wednesday until 7 p.m. July 31, Hillsdale Avenue will be closed and detoured in both directions.

Eastbound Hillsdale Avenue will be detoured onto Patterson Street, Orachard Street, and Broadway Avenue before going back on Hillsdale Avenue.

Westbound Hillsdale Avenue will be detoured onto Broadway Avenue and Patterson Street, and then back onto Hillsdale Avenue.

Police will be stationed near detours to help guide motorists through the detours.

If work is completed early, Hillsdale Avenue will be reopened.
