Northern New Jersey Woman-Owned Business Takes Part in Foundation for Free Enterprise 2014 Summer Business Camp

Northern New Jersey Woman-Owned Business Takes Part in Foundation for Free Enterprise 2014 Summer Business Camp.

Marlene Bauer Pissott, President and founder of InGroup Inc. and WebSwagger.com, was recently selected to teach an Introduction to Marketing and Branding course for the Foundation for Free Enterprise 2014 Summer Business Camp.

The week long business workshop and residential camp at Ramapo College provided students of ages 14-17 with lectures on how the free-market works, the nature of capitalism, how to create a business plan, finance, presentation skills, property rights, business law, marketing, free trade, and more. The students had a chance to interact with entrepreneurs including Ms. Pissott. For the Introduction to Marketing and Branding Course, Ms. Pissott taught students the elements of marketing including how to develop a mission and vision statement, conduct a marketing mix and a competitor’s analysis. In addition, Ms. Pissott discussed the foundation of a good marketing plan. This year’s camp will culminate with students developing a business plan and presentation, which will be presented to a panel of judges for review.

“I had a fun time interacting with the students, “said Pissott. “It was great to see students at an early age engaged in the business world and I hope the marketing and branding lessons provided will inspire the students to become future business leaders and entrepreneurs.
