Westwood Native Nicholas Lauerwald, 17, Died In Mahwah Car Crash Saturday
Visitations and the funeral for Lauerwald will be Thursday and Friday.
WESTWOOD, N.J. — The family of Nicholas Lauerwald, 17, will accept visitors Thursday and Friday at Immaculate Heart Of Mary R.C. Church.
Lauerwald, who was born in Westwood, was killed Saturday night when the SUV he was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a tree at Bellgrove Drive and North Bayard Lane in Mahwah. Hundreds of people attended a memorial service in his honor at Mahwah High School Monday night where he was a senior.
Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home lists that Lauerwald's family will receive visitors at Immaculate Heart of Mary, at 47 Island Road, Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be held at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
