Westwood School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Westwood is September 6. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Westwood Regional School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/23 - 10/24: Half Days for PreK-5 Students (Parent Conferences)
• 10/25: PreK-5 Evening Conferences

November

• 11/9 - 11/10: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/22: Early Dismissal
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/15: No School for Students (Staff Professional Development Day)

February

• 2/19 - 2/20: No School (President's Day Recess)

March

• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/19 - 6/20: Half Days for Students
