Westwood Volleyball Player Is Collegiate National Champion, Player Of The Year

Larysa Iwaskiw led the country in two statistical categories.

WESTWOOD, NJ — A borough volleyball player had another season for the ages at Ramapo College.

Junior Larysa Iwaskiw was named the college's women's volleyball player of the year after earning the honor of being the NCAA Division III statistical champion for leading all division volleyball players with 6.03 kills and 6.56 points per set.

Iwaskiw was also named the college's woman of the year, received several conference awards and was named an all-star.

Iwaskiw is an alumnus of Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township. She was named all-league and all-county all four years of high school and helped her team win four consecutive state and county championships. She finished her high school career with a 42-1 record.
