Boat Crash In Arthur Kill Channel Sunday Off Woodbridge

Five people were injured, two critically, after a boating accident Sunday in Arthur Kill Channel.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Five people were injured, two critically, after a boating accident Sunday in Arthur Kill Channel.

A motorboat hit a jetty in the channel at around 5:41 p.m. Sunday, New Jersey State Police told ABC 7 News. Eight people told were on board the boat and all eight were taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital as a precaution.

Three people had minor injuries, but two people were hospitalized in critical condition as of Sunday night. Woodbridge Township police, the NYPD, FDNY, Perth Amboy police and the U.S. Coast Guard all responded, in addition to the State Police.
