Colonial & Victorian Christmas Customs

Learn how the celebration of Christmas has changed with Judith Krall Russo @ the Woodbridge Main Library on Tuesday, Dec. 18 @ 7 PM!

Decorations of holly and mistletoe, gingerbread and caroling, these are just a few of the Christmas customs that have been handed down from earlier times. Learn the similarities and differences between a Colonial Christmas and a Victorian Christmas celebration @ the Woodbridge Main Library on Tuesday, December 18 @ 7:00 PM. Our guest speaker, noted local food historian, Judith Krall-Russo will help you discover what foods were prepared and enjoyed as part of the holiday festivities.


Judith Krall–Russo has enjoyed a lifelong love of foods, especially embracing the rich agriculture of her home state – New Jersey. Also a tea expert, she began studying the customs and traditions of this universal beverage 30 years ago and has earned certifications as a Tea Specialist by The Tea School in Pomfret, Connecticut and The Specialty Tea Institute of New York.
