County Announces Route 27 Traffic Pattern Change in Metuchen
Construction continues at the busy intersection of Route 27 and Lake Avenue in Metuchen.

Traffic patterns will change on Route 27 in the vicinity of Lake Avenue in Metuchen to accommodate an ongoing $3.8 million construction project on a bridge that stretches over the Middlesex Greenway.Â
According to a press release from the NJ Department of Transportation, starting on the night of Friday, Nov. 15, contractors will begin working on the northbound side of the bridge, causing a shift in traffic onto the newly constructed southbound half of the bridge.
One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction on Route 27 in that area, according to the release.
