Dozens Of Minor Crashes During Friday Night's Commute
East Brunswick Township had 11 fender benders; Woodbridge had 18 and South Brunswick reported 24 crashes, all minor, Friday night.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The snowstorm that hit exactly during rush hour this past Friday night couldn't have come at a worse time: Although there were no serious accidents, Middlesex County towns reported dozens upon dozens of fender benders and cars stalling out in the snow.
East Brunswick Township, for example, saw 11 fender benders during Friday's commute home. Woodbridge Township had 18 crashes from 2 p.m. Friday until around midnight. And South Brunswick Township, incredibly, reported 24 crashes or disabled cars Friday.
"The timing of the snow made the rush hour difficult," said South Brunswick police spokesman Deputy Chief Jim Ryan. "There were a total of 24 crashes and disabled vehicles during the storm, with the bulk coming between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. None of the crashes resulted in any serious injuries."
