Fire On Train Shuts Down NJ Transit From Metropark To Trenton
Breaking: Due to a fire on a commuter train east of Princeton Junction, all tracks between Metropark and Trenton are shut down.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Update: As of 11:40 a.m., two of the four tracks have reopened, allowing Amtrak and NJ Transit trains to pass through with minor delays Monday morning.
All 300 passengers were safely taken off the train that had the fire, NBC's Brian Thompson reported from the scene.
Bad news if you need to ride along the Northeast Corridor right now: Due to a fire on a commuter train east of Princeton Junction, all tracks between Metropark and Trenton are shut down, Amtrak just announced on their Twitter feed at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

This means both Amtrak and NJ Transit service is currently suspended.
The heavily-used Northeast Corridor line is currently suspended in both directions between Trenton and MetroPark, NJ Transit confirmed in their official Twitter feed.
