Flooding on Port Reading Ave. in Woodbridge

"Whenever there's a nor'easter and a high tide cycle, the road floods there," said Danny Sobreiro, the owner of Danny's Automotive.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ - Danny's Automotive, near Woodbridge River Park, provided this photo of flooding late Tuesday morning on Port Reading Avenue.

Port Reading Ave. at Trinity Lane, a common spot for flooding, was briefly closed by Woodbridge police due to the flooding, Capt. Roy Hoppock said. It has since reopened.

"Whenever there's a nor'easter and a high tide cycle and a full moon, the road floods there," said Danny Sobreiro, the owner of Danny's Automotive. Sobreiro was out plowing throughout Woodbridge and Raritan Center Tuesday and said the road conditions are: "Not great. We keep plowing it and it keeps getting covered back up. We've had freezing rain, snow, all of the above. Roads are very slippery."
