Free Health Screenings Saturday In Woodbridge
The Woodbridge Township Department of Health and Human Services and Mayor John E. McCormac will host the 2015 Mayor's Health Expo.

Woodbridge will hold a health expo on Saturday.
The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services and Mayor John E. McCormac will host the 2015 Mayor’s Health Expo.
The event will feature free or reduced-cost health screenings, including blood pressure; eye, foot and lung; glucose; body mass index; and balance. Seasonal flu shots will also be available. Those vaccines are free for Medicare patients, and $15 for everyone else.

Information about the Affordable Health Care Act, and health-related topics including Social Security, Medicare, pharmacy assistance, substance abuse, domestic violence will also be available.
There will also be free healthy cooking demonstrations by Wegmans of Woodbridge.

A minimal fee and pre-registration is required for the comprehensive blood screening and total cholesterol check; prostrate blood screening; Hepatitis B and C immunity tests, and tests for thyroid function T-3 and T-4, C-reactive protein and THS (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone.)

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Woodbridge Health Center at 2 George Frederick Plaza.
