Gunpoint Robbery, Sex Assault In Woodbridge Friday Night

A man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint Friday night in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge, and the woman was sexually assaulted.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint Friday night in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge, and the woman was sexually assaulted as well, said the Middlesex County Prosecutor. Update to this story: Suspect Sketches Released In Woodbridge Sex Assault And Robbery

Police say the woman and the man were approached on Friday evening in the area of Lee Street and Scott Place by two men, and held at gunpoint. The woman was later sexually assaulted.

The prosecutor did not release what was stolen from the couple.

Authorities are searching for two men, African-American and Caucasian, believed to be involved.

The public is asked not to approach the individuals as they may be armed.
