Halloween Happenings In Woodbridge
Events this month in Woodbridge include Trunk or Treat, pumpkin painting, stuff-a-scarecrow and a ghost walk.

Ghost Walk ~ Part II: Saturday, Oct. 17, 6:30 p.m. at Parker Press Park
- “The “Ghost Walk” will show a side of Woodbridge not typically found in textbooks – the Township’s rich history of ghosts, curious incidents and unexplained occurrences from Colonial days to the present. It’s all part of “Historic & Haunted Woodbridge” events, programs, and happenings throughout October.”
- Costumed guides will lead the tours, which leave every 15 minutes from the park, at 400 Rahway Ave.
- Admission is $6 per person.
Pumpkin Painting: Wednesday, Oct. 21, 4 to 6 p.m. at Parker Press Park

- Township children can pick a free pumpkin to decorate. The last pumpkins are handed out at 5:30 p.m.
Stuff-A-Scarecrow: Thursday, Oct. 22, 3 to 5 p.m. at Parker Press Park
- Bring old clothes and stuff them with hay supplied by the township.
Trunk or Treat & Halloween Costume Contest: Sunday, Oct. 25, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Woodbridge Community Center
- Prizes will be awarded for funniest, scariest and most original costume.
Halloween Drive-In Movie: Monsters, Inc. Sunday, Oct. 25
- Show at Dusk at the Woodbridge Community Center
Halloween Hayride: Thursday, Oct. 29, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Parker Press Park
Woodbridge High School Haunted House: Oct. 30 and 31, 7 to 10 p.m.
- Proceeds benefit the high school chorus
- “Experience your worst “Fears, Phobias & Superstitions” at the “Haunted House” in the old “haunted” building at 1500 Rahway Ave. (across from the prison.)
- “Happy Haunted House” (lights on) for youngsters is open from 7 to 8 p.m. The real scary “Haunted House” is open from 7 to 10 p.m.
- “Tickets: $8 (adults) and $5 (children under 12 years of age.)”
