A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued across New Jersey for what is expected to be a very windy Sunday. The conditions could make travel difficult and may cause scattered power outages, according to National Weather Service.
The area could experience gusts up to 50 mph.
In a Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, forecasters explain the winds are increasing in advance of a strong cold front that is approaching the area. The strongest winds will occur before noon, and should diminish as the day goes on.

"Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected," the NWS Wind Advisory said. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."
Residents should also secure light-weight outdoor objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans.

The Weather Channel says an arriving cold front will drop temperatures below average starting Wednesday and going into Thanksgiving Day. Another southward dip in the jet stream along with a cold front will begin to slide into the area, bringing colder-than-average temperatures next weekend, according to the Weather Channel's forecast.
