WOODBRIDGE, NJ — On Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy recognized Woodbridge resident Pauline Arnold as one of the thousands of New Jersey residents — and more than 200 from Woodbridge — who died as a result of coronavirus.
Arnold was 92 years old when she passed; she and her late husband, Albert, lived in the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge since 1952.
The Arnolds chose to raise their family in Hopelawn and they were parishioners of Good Sheperd Roman Catholic Church for decades. She is survived by her three daughters, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Although the number of cases was at an all-time high in December and January, the severity of cases is much milder than when COVID-19 first hit last spring, said Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac last Friday.
"We have lost 152 residents in just under 11 months but half of them came in just six weeks during April and the first two weeks of May," said McCormac.
