Dangerous Crash Causes Major Closures On NJ Turnpike Near Parkway
UPDATE: The NJ Turnpike reopened. The dangerous crash involving propane caused major closures near the Parkway. Delays extended 45 miles.

WOODBRIDGE – Major closures were reported on the New Jersey Turnpike near the Garden State Parkway on Thursday morning after a tanker truck carrying propane overturned in a fiery crash, according to officials. The road reopened after 9 a.m.
Delays extended 45 miles to the south, officials said.
All truck lanes on the northbound side were closed in Woodbridge for more than 13 hours after a tractor trailer overturned north of Exit 11 with the Garden State Parkway around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, officials said.

The lanes remained closed on Thursday morning. Authorities were cleaning up debris from the highway. The car lanes were open, officials said.
Crews were continuing the work of off-loading the propane from the damaged tanker. The cleanup was to continue into the morning rush hour, officials said.
