Rep. Frank Pallone spoke out against e-cigarettes on Monday at Woodbridge High School.

Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) brought a message of caution against e-cigarettes to students at Woodbridge High School this week to mark the 50th anniversary of the surgeon general's 1964 report on Smoking and Health.

According to a report on NJ.com, Pallone called on the president to release stronger rules and regulations regarding the sale and marketing of e-cigarettes.

Pallone made a point of speaking against the marketing tactics of some e-cigarette companies, which are targeting young people, he said.

Ten percent of high school students reported having used e-cigarettes in 2012 compared to 4.7 percent in 2011, according to the report.
