WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Do you like fried chicken? A Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen will be coming to St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge.

This is the shopping complex where the Woodbridge ShopRite is located, at the intersection of heavily traveled Rts. 1 and 9 and Rt. 35.

Popeyes will share a newly redeveloped, free-standing former restaurant building with a Xfinity store, which Comcast opened at St. Georges Crossing last year. Popeyes just signed the lease, so it is still too early for a projected opening date.

The ShopRite/St. Georges Crossing’s complex currently has a P.C. Richard & Son, T.J.Maxx, West Marine, Blu alehouse, PetSmart, AutoZone, Verizon Wireless, House of Wine & Liquor, European Wax Center, Visionworks, Taco Bell and GameStop, among others.

“This well-established Popeyes franchisee was drawn to the local market’s proven history of successful quick-service and fast-casual restaurants,” said LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad. “St. Georges Crossing, with its prime location, exposure and excellent demographics, is a terrific fit within this context. Popeyes’ menu has wide appeal, and we are excited to expand the property’s dining options with the addition of this nationally recognized chain.”
