School Bus Hit Poles, Sign, Vehicle In Woodbridge
There were no children aboard the bus, and it appears the driver was suffering from some type of medical condition, police say.

Police say it appears a school bus driver was suffering from some type of medical condition when he was involved in an accident on Main Street Wednesday evening.
There were no students aboard the Dapper school bus when it hit a curb, speed limit sign, telephone pole and guard rail near the corner of Main Street and Bina Place around 5:25 p.m., according to Capt. Roy Hoppock.

The driver, a 69-year-old man from Iselin, then backed off the guard rail and continued driving down Main Street, heading east.
The bus sideswiped a westbound vehicle, driven by 62-year-old Metuchen woman, then hit another telephone pole and came to rest against a tree, near Kilfoyle Avenue.

The bus driver had to be extricated and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, with numerous fractures.
He was listed in critical, but stable condition, on the day of the crash.
The Metuchen woman was taken to Raritan Bay Medical Center with minor injuries.
The Woodbridge Fire Department, Hopelawn Fire Department and Woodbridge EMS also responded.
