Someone Is Abandoning Dogs On Rt. 1 In Woodbridge, Group Says
Someone is abandoning pit bulls near the Jose Tejas restaurant on Rt. 1 in Woodbridge, shelter volunteers say. One of the dogs was hit.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — It appears someone may be abandoning pit bulls near the Jose Tejas Mexican restaurant on Rt. 1 in Woodbridge, a Woodbridge animal rescue group says.
The Woodbridge Animal Group, a group of mostly volunteers that work at the town shelter, said they have good reason to suspect someone is dropping young, unwanted pit bulls near the Jose Tejas restaurant off Rt. 1. So far, volunteers said in a Facebook post they have found two pit bulls in that area in the past week.
That is an extremely congested, high-traffic area.

Tragically, the first pit bull was found by Woodbridge police after she had been hit by a car. Police rushed her to the vet, but she died on the way.
Then this past Monday, April 23, the shelter said someone found a second pit, again a female, about one year old, with the same breed, same collar and in the same poor condition as the first dog that died.

"Same flat feet and urine irritation as if they were crated too long in their own filth," the shelter wrote on Facebook.
The Woodbridge Animal Group said they are very upset about this, and they are now offering a cash reward for information about who is dumping the pit bulls.
