WOODBRIDGE, NJ — At Patch, we partnered with Ring doorbell security to find local heroes, people who are not thinking of themselves and simply trying to help others during the COVID crisis.

And a reader nominated Michele Purtz, a volunteer with Trinity Woodbridge Food Pantry, part of Trinity Episcopal Church. Since the pandemic began, Trinity Woodbridge has seen a "large increase" in the number of families needing food, according to volunteers.

Last week they served 46 families and provided meals donated by local Woodbridge restaurants for 60 people. In addition, 52 children were provided diapers.
