Two Woodbridge Companies Named N.J. Top Workplaces In 2021
Plymouth Rock Assurance was No. 1 in the "large" company category, while Visual Lease was ranked No. 33 among "small" companies.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ —Two Woodbridge-based companies have been named to a list of New Jersey's top workplaces for 2021 by NJ.com. Plymouth Rock Assurance, from Woodbridge, actually topped the list of "large" companies with more than 500 employees or more.
The list, which was released Sunday and is grouped into large, midsize (150 to 499) and small (50 to 149 employees), included 63 companies. NJ.com said they determined the results by evaluating a 24-question survey, which was sent to the employees of these companies.
The survey measured 15 culture drivers that are critical to a company's success. The organizations were evaluated based on criteria such as their ability to foster alignment, execute on their commitments and stay connected to employees.

"You don't get on this list by accident," said Bob Helbig, media partnerships director of Energage, the company that created the survey. "We give credit to every company that asks their employees 'How are we doing?' and is open to that feedback. The really good companies - that's how they operate."
Plymouth Rock Assurance has 982 employees, provides auto, motorcycle and home insurance and has been around since 1992. CEO Jeff Briglia told NJ.com that communication and collaboration have been the key to the company's success, especially during the challenging last 15 months.

"The last year has been difficult amid the ongoing pandemic, but our employees have worked exceptionally to benefit our customers, agents and local communities," Briglia said.
Visual Lease, which produces lease management software, was rated No. 33 on the NJ.com list of 45 "small" companies. Started in 1995, Visual Lease has 111 employees.
"This acknowledgement is particularly important to our organization because it stems from our own employees' observations," said Marc Betesh, Visual Lease's founder and CEO. "We've been consistently growing at an accelerated rate and have a tremendous opportunity in front of us - we attribute this to our team. It's rewarding to know that our commitment to maintaining our culture is recognized."
The NJ.com recognition is just one of several recent honors for Visual Lease. The company recently earned the Bronze Stevie Award in the Fastest Growing Company of the Year category at the 19th Annual American Business Awards. In 2020, Visual Lease was recognized within the top 10 percent on the Inc. Magazine 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America. The organization also was recognized in the top third of high-growth companies on the Deloitte 2020 Technology Fast 500.
