Woodbridge Cancels Summerfest Entirely Due To COVID
However, Woodbridge extended its normal Summer Concert Series by a week, so bands that would have performed at Summerfest will now play:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Due to ongoing COVID concerns, Woodbridge has made the decision to cancel Summerfest 2020.
The Township had previously rescheduled it from June 6 to September 5; it would have been held in Merrill Park in Iselin. It has now been canceled outright.
However, Woodbridge extended its normal Summer Concert Series by a week, so bands that would have performed at Summerfest will now play:

- Real Diamond, a Neal Diamond cover band, will perform on Monday, September 14.
- Saints in the City, a Bruce Springsteen cover band, will perform Tuesday, September 15.
This year, Woodbridge will also honor those Twp. residents who died of COVID at its usual 9/11 service. The service will be held Sept. 11; it has been moved this year to the concert field behind Woodbridge High School.
