Woodbridge COVID Cases Drop To Lowest Since Early October

The Woodbridge vaccine site will take walk-ins from 3-5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10-2 p.m. Thursday, for the Moderna vaccine.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The number of new COVID cases in Woodbridge over the weekend has now dropped to its lowest number since early October, announced Mayor John McCormac Monday.

"The Township just had our lowest weekend total of new cases of coronavirus from the general public since early October, with only 24 cases reported – 12 on Friday and six each on Saturday and Sunday," said McCormac.

The Township-run clinic at the Woodbridge Health Department (behind the Woodbridge Library) still does not have the Pfizer vaccine in stock, for anyone wishing to have their teen or adolescent vaccinated (Pfizer is the only vaccine approved for those 12 and up).

The Woodbridge site only has the Moderna vaccine in stock, and it will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

However, the Woodbridge site is taking walk-ins: Walk in to get the Moderna shot at the Woodbridge Health Center behind the Woodbridge Library from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon and from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Since the pandemic began last March, there have been 12,739 total reported cases in Woodbridge and 263 deaths from COVID, according to Middlesex County's COVID dashboard. In Middlesex County in total, there have been 90,038 total cases and 2,056 reported deaths.
