Woodbridge DWI Checkpoint This Friday, May 17

With prom season upon us and Memorial Day weekend right around the corner, Woodbridge police will resume their checkpoints this Friday.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — With spring prom season upon us and Memorial Day weekend right around the corner, the Woodbridge police department will resume their DWI checkpoint program this spring/summer 2019.

The new dates that the checkpoints will be held this year are this Friday, May 17, June 15, June 25 and multiple other dates this summer (not yet determined), Woodbridge police announced this week.

Woodbridge police will be conducting the checkpoints on Routes 1 and 9, Rt. 35, Rt. 27 and NJ-184, Patrolman Joseph Angelo of the Traffic Unit said. They will also be out on local Woodbridge Twp. roads, as well.

"Additionally, we will have extra patrols every weekend and during special events where increased drinking and driving is known to occur," Ptl. Angelo said.
