Woodbridge High School Unveils New Turf Field Friday

The new multi-purpose field replaces the 11-year-old turf field. It will be open to Woodbridge football, field hockey, soccer and more.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Woodbridge High School Barrons will unveil their new synthetic turf athletic field Friday afternoon at Woodbridge High School stadium.

The new multi-purpose field replaces the 11-year-old synthetic turf field, which was built in 2007 and needed to be replaced, Township officials said. They said the new playing surface is state of the art. The turf field will be available for Woodbridge Twp. kids and teens who participate in football, soccer, field hockey and other field sports.

The official grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new field will take place on the 50-yard line Friday, June 15 at 2 p.m.

Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, Dr. Bob Zega, the superintendent of schools, Woodbridge High School principal Glenn Lottmann and Athletic Director Joseph Ward will all be there, plus Woodbridge High student athletes.
