Woodbridge Plans Memorial Day Ceremonies

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – Woodbridge will host a series of events for Memorial Day to honor the military personnel who have died.

The following event will be held on Sunday:

Colonia VFW Post #6061 will host a special Memorial Day service on Sunday at noon at the Post Headquarters, 606 Inman Avenue in Colonia. After the service, the Colonia VFW will host a Memorial Day BBQ. $20 per person.

The following events will be held on Monday:

Keasbey Fire Company #1 will host a special Memorial Day service att the Keasbey War Memorial Monument Park at 8 a.m.

United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 04-04 Station Sewaren will conduct a Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony at 9 a.m. at the Woodbridge Marina and Boat Launch at the foot of Cliff Street in Sewaren.

Avenel VFW Memorial Post #7164 will conduct a Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. at the Post Headquarters located at 60 West Park Avenue, Avenel.

Fords VFW Memorial Post #6090 will hold a Memorial Day flag raising service at 11 a.m. at the Fords War Memorial Monument located at King Georges Road and Corielle Street in Fords.

Iselin VFW Memorial Post #2636 will hold a Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. at the VFW Memorial located outside Post Headquarters on Auth Avenue in Iselin.
