Woodbridge Resumes Its Spring DUI Patrols This Saturday
Woodbridge Police will be looking for buzzed, high or drunk drivers on Rts. 1&9, Highway 35, Lincoln Highway and West Pond Road.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Woodbridge Police will resume their DUI checkpoints this Saturday, March 20, the department announced.
The checkpoints will start Saturday and will be spread out through the spring, summer and fall, said Sgt. Joseph Angelo of the WPD traffic enforcement unit.
Woodbridge Police will specifically be looking for buzzed or drunk drivers (and conducting DWI checkpoints) on Rts. 1&9, Highway 35, Rt. 27 (Lincoln Highway) and Rt. 184 (West Pond Road), as well as busier county and municipal roadways.

Police will also be looking for drivers who are drugged or impaired by a substance other than alcohol, such as marijuana. This comes at a time when New Jersey officially legalized marijuana last month and it is now legal to possess it.
