Woodbridge: Rt. 1 Crash At Green Street Wednesday Afternoon

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — There was a crash on Rt. 1 southbound at Green Street as of 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, the state Dept. of Transportation announced on Twitter.

The area of Rt. 1 south at Green Street (County Road 604) is experiencing five- to ten-minute delays. The left lane is closed.

There were injuries in the crash.

"There was a two-car crash in the southbound lanes that occurred about 50 feet of Green Street," said Woodbridge Police Capt. Scott Kuzma. "One of the vehicles attempted to turn left into Wendy’s from the center lane and struck a vehicle in the left lane."
