Woodbridge Summer Camps Will Resume July 6

Officials say the Club at Woodbridge and local gyms should reopen around that same time. Also, will more outdoor dining come to Woodbridge?

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — In happy news for Woodbridge residents, Mayor John McCormac announced Tuesday that the town will be starting its summer camp program on July 6, the date Gov. Murphy gave the go-ahead that it is safe for summer camps to resume.

Expect The Club at Woodbridge and the Woodbridge Community Center to reopen around that same time, as town officials say that's around when they expect Murphy will allow gyms and fitness centers to reopen.

Woodbridge hair salons and barber shops can open June 22.

And will residents start to see more outdoor, cafe-style seating at Woodbridge restaurants? Local diners may start to see more European-style outdoor cafe seating come to Woodbridge restaurants.

"The governor has permitted outdoor dining to resume on June 15 and many restaurants are interested in initiating or expanding their outdoor footprint," said McCormac. "We are interested in working with them after they have struggled for so long. We will be issuing guidance within a day."
