Woodbridge's 4th Of July Fireworks 2019 Are Wednesday Night

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in Woodbridge Twp. this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Woodbridge so you can start planning now.

Mayor John E. McCormac announced that the annual Woodbridge Township Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks get underway on Wed., July 3, 2019 at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront.

“We are extremely excited to announce that Woodbridge Township is again hosting the largest Independence Day fireworks display and celebration in the region,” Mayor McCormac said. “Woodbridge Township is home to military personnel currently serving overseas, military veterans who served and protected America’s freedom and democracy in conflicts around the world and First Responders who serve on the front line of emergencies throughout the Township - it is to those brave military personnel, veterans and First Responders that we dedicate this year’s Independence Day celebration.”
The Woodbridge Township Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks display draws thousands of residents to the Sewaren waterfront and is an extraordinary celebration of place and country. The renowned Pyrotecnico Fireworks will bring a world-class pyrotechnics display to the Sewaren waterfront with more than 30 thousand shots fired electronically by computers in synchronization to a wide selection of patriotic and contemporary music.

The Independence Day festivities kick-off with live music by AM GOLD YACHT ROCK PARTY and Special Guest KICKBACK. Mayor McCormac and Township officials recognize Woodbridge Township First Responders (Firefighters, FAS, CERT Team who have served the Township for 40 years or more) at a special awards ceremony at 7:15 PM. AM GOLD YACHT ROCK PARTY and Special Guest KICKBACK take the stage at 8:00 PM followed by the incredible "BRINGING THE NIGHT TO LIFE fireworks display choreographed to music at dusk (approximately 9:15 PM) - the fireworks will be simulcast on 1079 WOLD radio.
Alvin P. Williams Park will be closed during the day to allow for the fireworks set-up. The gates will open to the public at 4:00 PM. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged. There is no reserved seating and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park. WPD TRAFFIC ALERT ~ JULY 3 FIREWORKS:
At the conclusion of the July 3 fireworks all traffic exiting Sewaren via Ferry Street (by Moby Dick’s) will be directed to make a left turn onto State Street. Traffic will not be permitted to make a right turn onto West Avenue towards Woodbridge. State Street traffic into Perth Amboy will be prohibited from turning right onto Maurer Road (hole in the wall) that separates the Chevron property. Traffic will be diverted down West Ave./State Street onto Route 440, to Amboy Avenue, back into Woodbridge.
And Sunday, July 7 it's Parrot Beach, a Jimmy Buffet cover band at 6 p.m. at Parker Press.
New Brunswick: July 3: New Brunswick's fireworks festivities begin at 6 p.m. at Boyd Park on the Raritan River. They will have two bands performing - Tempo Allegre, a Latin band, and Discoteks, a pop band. Fireworks are scheduled to go at 9:15 p.m. over the river.
Admission is free, attendees may bring blankets and chairs to sit on. Food will be for sale, and they will have an inflatable amusement as an activity for children.
Thursday, July 4th will feature an Independence Day celebration of local history at Buccleuch Park. The event goes from 1-5 p.m. and will feature a ribbon cutting at the recently-renovated Buccleuch Mansion, plus tours of the mansion, a live reading of the Declaration of Independence, patriotic music, a Geocaching activity and a re-enactment of George Washington's "feu de joie" (Fire of Joy) salute.
Dr. David Martin of Friends of Monmouth Battlefield will give a talk on the significance of the salute before the cannon fire begins.
Admission is free and participants are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit on and picnic in Buccleuch Park. Food and ice cream will also be available for purchase.
