Concert Under the Stars, Council work session and more

Here's a look at what is happening in Franklin Lakes this week.Â
1. On Wednesday night, come to the field behind Borough Hall for the Concert Under the Stars fundraiser for Memorial Pond. The concert is from 8 to 10 p.m. featuring the Jersey Rollers.Â

3. The third quarter tax bills will be mailed this week. The grace period is extended to Sept. 6, after which time, interest will be charged back to Aug. 1.
4. The Planning Board is meeting Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. when the hearing for the Tice Road property is scheduled to continue. The Zoning Board meeting for this week has been cancelled.Â

5. Need to throw out an old washing machine or other large appliance? The monthly heavy metal pick up is scheduled for Friday. Call the Borough Clerk's Office at 201-891-0048 ext. 1200, no later than 3:30 p.m. Thursday to schedule a pick-up.
