7 Wyckoff Restaurants Stood Out For The Right Reasons In 2020

Selected by Patch readers, these restaurants went above and beyond in a year worth forgetting.

WYCKOFF, NJ — In a year worth forgetting, a number of Wyckoff businesses were anything but forgetful. And for the right reasons.

Restaurants in particular played a big role in making 2020 a little more bearable.

Throughout the duration of the coronavirus pandemic, take-out, and, eventually, outdoor dining, brought a sense of normalcy to a year that was anything but.

Patch readers cited that and more in explaining why these establishments should be considered the best of the year. Below are eight local businesses nominated by them:

Meyer's House of Sweets

"They have a wide selection of all homemade candies made on site. The owners are so nice and always bending over backwards for their customers," said Lisa T., a customer.

The Pizza Parlor

During the darkest days of the pandemic, it was only right to turn to comfort food. At Pizza Parlor, their "excellent quality and service" along with "prompt delivery" made an impact on Steve Becker, a local customer.

Aldo's

"The food, the staff and the ambiance," are what stood out to one Patch reader, and, frankly, what else do you need?

3 Chicas Mexican Kitchen

"Best Mexican food in town. Stayed open, employing many, during lockdown. Transitioned smoothly to takeout. Owner is involved in many local charitable endeavors," said Bob McGowan, a customer.

Willow & Whisk

A newer addition to Wyckoff, Willow & Whisk have quickly made an impact.

"Great new restaurant addition to town serving delicious food and providing wonderful friendly service," said Ellen Csaki.

According to another Patch reader, their attention to detail around the coronavirus pandemic made all the difference.

"Great Food doing things right during a challenging time, great servers," said Greg Csaki, a customer.

TS Ma

At TS Ma, consistency is king, according to one Patch reader.

"The food they serve is always spot on every time. The search for the best Chinese Cuisine is over. Must try the General Tso's wings," said Betty Ann, a customer.

The Barn

"Excellent food, service and ambiance. With the virus have out in wonderful tents and tables outside. Eating in or ordering and picking up easy," said Joan Hacker, a customer.

Patch readers nominated a Local Businesses of the Year. The local businesses included retail stores, restaurants, hardware shops, dry cleaners, plumbers, car mechanics, salons and more.
