Academic Summer Camps For Teens

Ramapo College opens registration for intellectual courses for kids in middle and high school this summer

As cabin fever is beginning to set in this winter, most teens and parents are realizing that summer will be here before you know it.  is offering local middle and high schoolers summer activities that will be entertaining, and look good on their transcripts and resumes!

Registration opened this week for two, two-week-long sessions of the Ramapo Explorers Middle School Academic Camp.

According to the college, this program gives “campers a chance to explore special topics in a fun and interactive environment. Campers follow a schedule from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. including: Explore Earth Science, Career Detectives, GarageBand Composers, Math Fun with Excel, Marketing Wizards,” and other activities.

For high schoolers, the Financial Literacy/Stock Market Camp teaches teens about managing money, use credit cards, budget finances, and get involved in the stock market, among other financial lessons. Split into two sessions, the first week covers financial literacy and runs August 1 through 5, while the second week covers the stock market and runs August 8 through 12.”

Ramapo will also host a Princeton Review SAT Prep course this summer.
