This team build was unique for the affiliate because it was Habitat Bergen’s first team to join the Women Build program. Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity program that is aimed at empowering women. Women Build evokes a powerful, yet simple message: empower women and men to take action as equals against the poverty housing conditions in Bergen County by raising funds and building together to provide affordable housing solutions to the community.
In addition to their Women Build, the ATSNJ Students are planning a, “Athletic Trainer for a Day,” fundraiser to take place during National Athletic Training Month in March. More details will be announced on ATSNJ and Habitat Bergen’s website.
