Barbagallo, Francin Win Seats In Wyckoff Board Of Education Race

WYCKOFF, NJ — Well, it's official, Wyckoff, the General Election is over and two winners have been declared in the race for Wyckoff's Board of Education.

As of Friday evening, official results are being reported in Bergen County.

Here are the vote totals:

• Frank Barbagallo — 4,572
• Anthony R. Francin — 4,240
• Brett Traficant — 4,038

Votes needed to be certified by New Jersey counties by Nov. 20, but two counties, Ocean and Salem, were given exceptions due to the coronavirus.

"Our democracy is stronger when every voice is heard," said Governor Phil Murphy. "The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented difficulties for the civil servants charged with the extremely important task of certifying and auditing elections. This executive order will provide these dedicated officials with the time they need to properly conclude their work for this year's general election."

Murphy issued this by an executive order Friday. The order also extends, for all counties, the date by which statutorily-required election audits must occur, from Friday, December 4 until Friday, December 11.
