Bergen County Breweries Offer Free Beer To The Vaccinated
Hackensack Brewing and Brix City Brewing have joined an NJ campaign which gives a free beer to people who've gotten their first dose.
HACKENSACK, NJ — Two Bergen County breweries have joined a statewide "beer and a shot" campaign which will give any New Jersey resident who gets their first vaccine dose a free beer at participating breweries.
Gov. Phil Murphy announced the campaign Monday, hoping it encourages "eligible New Jerseyans ages 21+ to get vaccinated."
The participating Bergen County breweries are Hackensack Brewing Company and Brix City Brewing Company, in Little Ferry.

So how do you qualify for the free beer? It's simple.
"Any New Jerseyan who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer," Murphy said.

About 31 percent of the total U.S. population have been fully vaccinated, according to NPR's vaccine tracker, or about 104 million people. In New Jersey, 51 percent or 4.6 million, of the state has received at least one dose, and 33 percent or 2.9 million, been fully vaccinated.
