Bergen Olympic Ice Skaters Fail To Qualify For Olympic Medal

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two figure skaters who train in Hackensack finished 19th in the pair skating short program at the 2018 Winter Olympics Wednesday.
Paige Conners and Evgeni Krasnopolsky train at the Ice House in Hackensack. They are members of Team Israel. They finished in 19th place out of 22 competing teams. The top 16 teams qualify to move on to the next round.
"They skated with passion and their 'triple toes' were awesome," Team Israel said on its Facebook page.

Conners, 17, lives in Edgewater and Krasnopolsky, 29, lives in Hackensack.
Three other skaters who train at the Ice House, Nicole Rajicova, Alexei Bychenko and Alexia Paganini are competing at the Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

More than 20 Olympic skaters have trained at the Ice House, including gold medal winners Sarah Hughes, Elena Bereznaia and Anton Sikharulidze.
